ABOUT

Convivium is an informal gathering organized by Cornell architecture graduate students for all of those interested in discussing matters of architecture and urbanism, and their relationship to cultural production.

Founded in 2009 by Melissa Constantine and Kyle Jenkins, today Convivium consists of an active discursive body of thirty architecture students from MArch I, MArch II and MA/PhD programs. Convivium crafts constructive conversations on architecture that reach beyond the boundaries of programs and fields. To spark engaged and in-depth dialogue open to all, informal conversations are accompanied by presentations, readings, visual materials, exhibitions, and small excursions. These materials as well as concise essays will be collected for a projected publication.
